Evaporation par récompression thermique de vapeur (TVR)

Wherever steam is available at a high pressure (as compared with the pressure needed in the evaporator), the flash energy of the said steam can be used to recompress part of the vapour given off, up to the pressure of the heating steam. When application, such an arrangement results in substantial savings of steam and cooling water.
